The Chili Pepper saves the water that normally runs down the drain while you are waiting for the water to get hot, saving thousands of liters of water per year.
The Chili Pepper pumps hot water from your water heater to the tap. The initial cool water is circulated back to the cold water inlet of your hot water service. When the water at your tap is at the desired temperature, the Chili Pepper switches off - turn the hot tap and you get nothing but hot water.
Retails for around $470. Find out more at Neco.

This device can save up to 5000 litres of water a year.Unless you have solar then you still have to pay for the energy to heat that water which is reyurned to your HWS.
Front loading washers use less water but take much longer to go through a cycle. therefore less water more greenhouse gas.
Goo point in regards to the front loaders. Most of the new ones heat their own water these days too, so even more green house gases. I’m saving up for one of these Chili pepper units - our hot water system is miles away from the kitchen and it’s a little unhygienic washing in cold water.
