The Take Away Sink - Reuse your greywater

March 31, 2008 on 8:28 pm | In water saving products | No Comments

Greywater SinkI came across this cool sink design by Jessica Nebel via the treehagger website and thought it was well worth sharing. Jessica’s sink design is based on making the basin removable so you can reuse the gray water from washing your hands for other things like watering your pot plants or even poring down the toilet instead of flushing. A very cool water saving idea.

Hot water recyclingThe D’MAND hot water circulation system will help save you water by delaying the flow of water from your hot water tap until it’s actually hot.

The D’MAND System is turned on when someone activates the pump with any one of a number of methods. The Hot Water D’MAND System pumps the hot water to the plumbing fixtures, once hot water reaches the pump, the System detects a 3°C temperature rise and completely shuts off so there is no loss of energy or water.

The D’MAND system is available from Got Hot Water.

Water Filters - save money and the Environment

March 27, 2008 on 6:55 pm | In water filters | No Comments

Water Filter CoolerMany experts tell us that bottled water is an unnecessary environmental expense. Think about all the energy that goes into producing a bottle of water. There’s the plastic that goes into the bottle, the energy that goes into manufacturing and transporting the bottled water, then the energy to recycle the bottle (hopefully). Bottled water production produce large amounts of CO2 having a large carbon footprint.

ORDER A 7 DAY FREE TRIAL

We all know that tap water has some nasties in it though, such as Chlorine, Fluoride, heavy metals and even carcinogens. So what’s can we do to reduce our carbon footprint and save money on expensive bottled water? Simple, drink filtered water. Water filters and water coolers are a much more environmentally friendly way to get your daily fill of clean pure H2O directly out of the tap.

A good water filter will filter out harsh elements and unwanted chemicals, while a great water cooler will do the same but also ADD IN minerals normally missing from our everyday drinking eater.

Amazing Water, an Australian based water filter company, can provide you with a floor mounted or bench mounted water cooler saving you 100’s on bottled water costs and saving the environment from all the carbon that goes into the atmosphere through the production and transportation of bottled water.

Amazing Water is offering a 7 day free trial on both their floor mounted water filer and bench mounted water filer.

  • Save $100’s on bottled water
  • Reduce your carbon footprint
  • Drink clean pure filtered water
  • Never pay for bottled water again.
