Caroma First 5-Star Water-Saving Toilet Suite

Caroma has brought out an ingenious water saving toilet and hand basin product. The combined toilet cistern and hand basin allow you to reuse the greywater runoff from washing your hands to flash the toilet next time you go. These systems have been around for a while, but this is the first time I've seen one available in Australia. Makes great sense not only from a water saving point of view, but space saving one too.

AQUS Bathroom Water Saver

Strangely, water saving innovation seems to be few and far between these days. This blog aims to inform you of any new and exciting water saving products, but it seems to be getting harder and harder to find new and interesting material.

The AQUS water saver is one of those great ideas I long to discover. This innovative device captures the greywater from your hand basin and pumps it back into the toilet cistern so the water can be re-used to flush the toilet. Brilliant!

As far as I'm aware, this device is only available in the states at the moment. But check out the AQUS website for details.

I miss long hot showers; if I'm in the shower any longer than 5 minutes, the guilt factor starts to kick in and I promptly jump out, pick up my shower bucket, step outside and water the garden, clothed of course.
